Born and raised on the rugged Mediterranean island of Corsica, Pierre Casanova was exposed from birth to that island’s unique character: Rustic, individualistic, and romantic. The warm Mediterranean winds blow the scent of the Maquis over everything in their path, and the cuisine reflects the island’s rich heritage with a past that includes occupation by the Romans, the Spanish and the Genoese. Moving to Dijon to study, Pierre then opened a Café Theatre in Jura, near Switzerland, before immigrating to the US in 1989.
In 1990, he opened Café Des Artistes, in Hollywood, a hotspot where he was Chef/Owner until opening one of Hollywood’s legendary dining places, Les Deux Cafes, with Michelle Lamy. The partnership lasted until 1997, when he left to become General Manager and Wine Buyer at ‘Little Door’. This restaurant’s program of 80 wines available by the glass was at the time, extremely progressive. Pierre then brought his experience and knowledge to Cliff’s Edge, where he has been a founding partner since opening, in 2004.

Leaving a five year run with Joel Robuchon, Bailly moved to Los Angeles to run the kitchen as Executive Chef at Petrossian in West Hollywood, where he gained attention for creating modern twists on some of his favorite French classics. Bailly earned fast acclaim in Los Angeles, being nominated for the 2010 James Beard Awards as a Rising Star Chef of the Year and was also one of nine to be given that title by Angeleno's Brad Johnson.
In November of 2010, Chef Ben took the reins at ‘Fraiche’, Culver City as Executive Chef. In July 2011. Ben left ‘Fraiche’ to work as a private chef. In January 2012, Ben took over the kitchen at Cliff’s Edge in Silver Lake, as Executive Chef.

KEITH GRECO moved to Los Angeles some 30 years ago to study art at UCLA & production design at AFI. He bounced around town, including a more than 10 stint in downtown, before calling Silver Lake home, 10 plus years ago.
Having found a Los Angeles neighborhood full of family & friends, he chose to put his money where his mouth is and go into business with two old friends; Pierre Casanova, who he met while designing Little Door, and Dana Hollister, with whom he became friends while producing events at her ‘Paramour’ estate. Having an affection for his California born Italian grandparents’ gardening & cooking, and unable to find a restaurant that gave his taste buds that euphoric recall, he, in partnership with Hollister and Casanova, opened Cliff’s Edge Restaurant.
When not spending time in this surrogate living room, he is tending his own company, GRECO DÉCOR INC., art and creative directing for such companies as Cirque du Soleil, Disney, Sony Pictures, Red Bull, Nike, Adidas, Sag awards, City of Hope & KCRW to name a few,
Keith is also a founding owner & production designer of the Annual Los Angeles ‘Haunted Hayride’ located each October in Griffith Park’s “Old Zoo”.
